Homecoming

I have regained control of my blog after chasing the khat off!

My human brother came home for his 21st birthday from college ( kind of like dog school)After seeing the other Khyra's post on the joys of seeing someone, Mom thought she would try and use the video camera. This is a very short clip, but don't have the volume turned up too loud. The squeaky niose in the back ground is Scampi squeaking his toy.

Hi Kira
We turned the volume down cos we get overexcited!
Your human brother sure looked pleased to see you and vice versa.
Did he bring you treats? We have two human older brothers and they never think to!
Mum says that is boys for you.

Khool!

Good Job!

It makes 'them' feel good if we do that

AND often results in TREATS!

Enjoy fuzzing your human brother!

Haha Kira...is that you speaking? So cool! My lot were doing head tilts to your voice and then ran outside to see who it was (because they are dumb!)
The concrete blocks on the beach are from WW2, they were put there to stop tanks landing on the beaches, you can read more about them here: http://dughallmorbeagles.blogspot.com/2008/09/where-we-walk.html

Yes, greeting the humans with lots of noise and movement results in treats and attention. We even do it if they're only gone for a few minutes. They're so wrapped around our paws.

Nice technique! Enjoy his visit. Glad you chased the cat off the blog also. They can be so sneaky!

Looks like you were both happy to see each other! It was loud but that's ok. We're dogs, we get to be loud.

Your friend,
Niamh

PS Glad you got your blog back from the cat.

Looks like a pretty good welcome home to us - we couldn't get the video to play very well but we definitely saw a happy Kira.
