went to get a drink from her little pond...
Came back for another snack from the feeder...
This was around 8 am . Grand mom stayed safely inside while taking these pictures
Food is all gone? He hoped over the 6ft. privacy fence and left....
We just live a couple of miles from a state park, where there are numerous black bears in the area. Mom said there was one down our street a few nights ago, on the golf course!
Came back for another snack from the feeder...

I realize there are alligators in Florida but I didn't realize there were black bears that invade gardens! Yikes!

We are very familiar with that sight. We live right on the edge of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, so they come visiting a lot. That means we have no bird feeders (which are nicknamed bear feeders here). Not sure if the bears sleep through most of the winter there, but here they are just waking up and are VERY hungry at the moment.
Glad everything came out ok.
That would be scary but exciting!
We only have deer, fox, raccoon, muskrats in our neighborhood along with the normal bunnies and squirrels.

Dat sum bear! Thank dogness we don't see any. We gits deer, cats, turkeys and once in a while ugly snakes dat maw has to watch fur.
We do have bear in da woods but we haven't seen one yet and hope we don't.

Wow, that's pretty crazy!! I grew up in Winter Park, and never heard of bears anywhere in central FL.!!!

Wow, totally neat on one hand - being able to see a bear so close to home. And, really sad on the other. I have friends near Alaqua and near Eustess and there have been bear sightings at people's houses there too. As people move in to the bear's home they will wander into people's yards, eat the trash and eventually there will be a run in. I do not think the general public can co-exist with bears (or other wild animals like snakes or alligators).
