More rain....

It is still raining here. We have been in a drought for several months, then suddenly all the rain come in 1 week. Well, that is the way it goes. We have had over 7 inches of rain in the past couple of days.

I still do yard patrol, the rain does not bother me much. I think it mostly just annoys me.(Almost as much as Mom with the flashy box following me around.)

I then came in and shook off, Mom took a picture of the wall, all wet, and floor....
What???
Mom says she has tried many things for Scampi and his phobias, including Rescue Remedy, Lavender sprays, prescription drugs from the vet....The training dog school says the best thing for Mom to do is to ignore the behavior when it is wrong and reward the good behavior. So when he acts calm, Mom gives him treats , but during thunderstorms, he like to go hide in his crate, or under something. He takes his rescue remedy today, and Mom sprayed his bed with lavender. So hopefully someday, he will get better, or become deaf. I think the deafness will come first.

I hope the rain stops (or at least pauses) soon for poor Scampi.

Yard patrol is important and cannot be ignored even when it is raining. Good job, Kira.

Poor Scampi - I think you are right Kira that Scampi will become deaf before he gets better!
Some things dont change but we do hope his fear lessens.
Sorry about all that rain but it is so good for the flowers!
Think how nice the garden will look.

Well, I'm not sure if you're joking, but I will say that now that I've lost most of my hearing, the thunderstorms don't bother me as much as they used to.

TD likes to shake all over the place too when he is wet and he doesn't understand why Mom wants him to do it outside.

Yes, ignoring Scampi's behavior is the best thing to do. Does it help if he could stay in a room with no windows?

Seven inches! In two days! Unbelievable! (And I thought it was Scotland that was supposed to be wet).
Hope it stops soon.
Cheers, H.

do you ever jump in the swimming pool or not a fan of the water? I wonder what Bell would do if she were to jump into a swimming pool.

Thanks for commenting on my blog. We had rain like you're having very recently. We thought we would float away before it was done.

It's been raining here too!
I like the rain, it means snuggle with Mummy time. Tahlia doesn't like it though, she has anxiety attacks... I think it's funny but Mum tells me not to laugh at her :(

I love seeing you patrol your yard....if I was there i'd follow you around too....you are looking F-I-N-E and you are Kira the BeaWootiful after all!
We're having a wet time of it too, we get bright spells but the showers are very heavy....don't suppose they're quite Florida heavy though!
Poor Scampi....I hope he overcomes his demons soon....but at least it doesn't result in him turning into a barking, yapping, howling lunatic....unlike SOME I could mention....

I hope that your mom doesn't try to get you with an evil towel. That's what my mom does when it's raining here. I hate being toweled! That's what shaking is for.
