Dog School!

Woooo! I got to go last night. Mommy decided to put me in a versatility 1 class, beginning competition obedience. We are supposed to know how to sit, stay down, heel, come already before this class. This is where we refine everything to make it look pretty.
There were around 15 dogs in this class, but I was the only Husky! Mom was not thrilled with me, She thinks I have forgotten a lot of stuff, but really, I just wanted to clean the floor of dog treats, not do boring sits and stays for 5 whole minutes. There were pieces of treats everywhere! I did have a very nice heeling pattern, I know because she kept telling me "Good Heel! "and I got cheese! Mom can't take pictures while we are in class, she will have to get someone to take some for us next time!
Mommy was a little grumpy because her feety feets hurt bad, because the doctor injected something into them in the morning. He told her to stay off of them for a couple of days and she did not listen to him. Hmmm, reminds me of a certain pup.....
So here we are in the car ready to go home! I was a happy, but tired dog!

Kira, you are bootiful! Sorry to hear about your mommy's foot... hope it gets better no matter how much she walks on it.

cheese is the BEST!

You certainly seem pleased with yourself. You performed a valuable service cleaning up the foodables from the ring.

Those classes are hard because you have to sit square. Not hard for pee-wee, but it is pretty much impossible to adjust the landing zone of my bottom.

PeeEssWoo: I think your mom goes to time out fur NOT listening to her vet!

You need to tell your mom that huskies don't do obedience, they just occasionally do what their owners want if the wind is blowing the right way hehehe.

Hope your mom's foot is better soon

Maybe you need to tell mom that you won't listen unless she does too:)

Hope you get to go again, but five minute down and stays is tough.

Love that last shot - lovely smile.

Oh Kira
We just love that last picture of you - you look so happy with that big smile!
Nice to see you looking so happy. We are sorry your mom's feet hurt - how can she expect you to be obedient when that is the example she is setting?
Give your mom a row and tell her to do what she is told!
We are glad you enjoyed your class and got lots of treats - especially the cheese - we love cheese.
love and kisses

Maybe your mom is part Siberian with not listening to the doctor and all.

Well I'm glad you're getting lots of treats out of the deal Kira. But I can't believe you are expected to 'stay' for five whole minutes. I mean, surely NO-ONE does that!
Cheers, H.
PS Hope the your Mom's feet are feeling better (I know all about sore paws)

Sounds to me like you did efurryone a service by cleaning up. They should have given woo a medal or ribbon or something! That's an award-winning smile too!

Our dad sends his feetie-feet sympathy to your mom's feetie-feets.

You look so proud of yourself! Good job cleaning up the floor. Make your Mommy take care of herself and listen to the human VET.

Mom says thanks for the link to the Coonhound...how can she order it? She didn't see it in the Etsy shop.

Good thing that you cleaned up any stray treats otherwise your mom could have tripped on them and hurt herself more.

p.s. I use to be able to do 3-5 minute stays and then Momma got lazy and didn't continue to practice them with me.

Mom's been thinking about putting us in classes so we can get our Canine Good Citizen awards. We say phooey!
