Mom told me we were going on the boat, but what she did not say is that there would be a
4 hour truck ride(!), pulling the boat first. I was so bored!
By the time we arrived, we had like a 10 minute boat ride then that was it!
We were at the marina, without much of a boat ride at all!
I was amazed! That was way too short!
Mom said they were hot and tired, so I made her take me for a walkie.

Mom says we were in Punta Gorda for those doggies or there Moms who care about that.
We saw a pretty river (The Peace River) that we were on, that leads to the Gulf of Mexico. 
It was hot though, so I decided after my walkie, that I would go take a nap in the air conditioning while Mom and Dad had a dock party with friends. 
I came out after the party and had some snacks that were left of the dock, but Mom took away the chicken bones I managed to snag, she stuck her hand down my throat to take it away, I was not to happy about that!

After my expreiences at the weekend, I totally sympathise about the long truck ride!
I think you played the party thing very sensibly. As one gets older, the attraction of a cool nap often outweighs the attraction of a party....

You are on my side of the world now. I live just up the road a bit, maybe 1.5 to 2 hours. I hope you have lots of fun, get lots of nummies and try not to outshine the boo-tee-full sunsets!

We can't believe what a great sunset shot you got!!!! We are sure it made the four hour drive well worth it.
We are not keen on a long drive either but you certainly ended up in a lovely place - Peace River sounds perfect!

Our Momma has been to Punta Gorda (signing lots of insurance checks after the hurricanes a few years ago).

Well, I still think that any boat time is good boat time, but it seems sort of like a trick that you had to do such a long car ride for such a small boat ride. I like car rides too though, so maybe it's not all that bad.
