My pool hhad to be drained of water twice now by Dad
The rain let up for a couple of hours, Scampi came out to snifff around
I went out and laid down by my pool despite the rain.
Mom says sorry we were not able to visit all of our blog friends, we have lost power for several hours due to flooding conditions in the area. We are fine, and Dad has a back-up generator in case it gets worse, but I think the end is in sight. Which is a good thing, because I think something big is about to happen. Mom has been packing bags. I better be going somewhere.
I hope it is my boat!

Are you packing to tour all of your friends? You could actually get to our house by boat. Well....almost. Not the last 20 miles or so. Just head west and then up the Mississippi.

Hi Kira and Scampi! We've had a lot of rain, too, and our internet's been going off and on. Going on the boat sounds exciting!
See ya!

So sorry to hear you have to deal with so much water from the sky. Water is best when it's in a pool!
Please tell Scampi that there is something called Dog Assisted Pheromone (DAP) that is sold in a lot of pet stores (including Petsmart) that might help calm her fears. A lot of doggies I know don't mind thunder so much when they wear their DAP collars or little DAP collar tags. Also, the scent of lavender really helps calm dogs, so if my mom thinks I'm going to be anxious she slathers her hands with the scented cream. I really love sniffing it.
I think Kira looks like a lovely girl and is a great help in soothing Scampi's soul.
Good luck to both of you and thanks for becoming my friends!

You guys must be getting fed up with the rain so hopefully it will clear for the weekend.
If not swim over to Scotland where the sun is shining at the moment although anything could happen in the next half hour...........

I'm glad there is an end in sight. Even though I live in Seattle, I hate rain!!
