Look at me!!! I am swimming in the gulf of Mexico!
Meeting other swimming doggies, there were several Goldens and Labs,but I was the only Husky!
It was a sandbar that we anchored out at, ( and so did hundreds of other boats)during low tide the water ranged from a couple of inches to a few feet.
We stayed there for a few hours and had lunch on the boat. Mommy even got Scampi in the water for a couple of minutes to cool him off, although he didn't like it too much.
I never get seasick, and neither does Scampi, but he is not calm on the boat when it is running, he gets scared, I get sleepy....After we came back to the marina there was a dock party, I went to bed, I was tired, but Scampi stayed out to get attention.

What a beautiful sunset!!
We thought a swimming Husky might drown. When you get all of that hair wet, you must be really heavy - we bet you give your peeps a great shower when you shake off - hehe!! We were glad to see that someone had a leash on you, just for safety sake. Most Scotties swim like cinderblocks, so we don't get to go in the water very often!! (it scares Mom to think we won't float)

Kira, you're a braver dog than me. I like to keep my paws firmly on the ground. But I'm curious to know, does the salt get stuck in your fur when the water dries? And what temperature is the Gulf of Mexico just now.

Swimming sure looks fun, I would like Sugar to give it a try... but she might sink with all her muscle. She might get a little kiddie pool this summer for the patio... she can't go in the deep end!

What fun! I went swimming last weekend in the ocean, but I was so afraid of the waves! I ran out of the water when a wave would come.
